About Us

One World Care

Since 2012, One World Care has been dedicated to creating brighter futures for children through education. Starting in Central America, we addressed hunger’s impact on learning by providing meals and school supplies. Our efforts extended to Gainesville, Florida, where we’ve supported local families facing economic hardships, ensuring continuous education for children despite challenges.

About Us

Our Dedicated Team and Volunteers

One World Care was founded in 2012 on the belief that children who receive a good education have a brighter future.

Our initial efforts began in Central America. We learned that in some countries many children were hungry and looking for their next meal instead of attending classes.

As a result, One World Care began feeding children at a school in a small village in Nicaragua and purchasing school supplies, such as books, backpacks and class uniforms in order to give children incentive to continue attending classes.

Then, on Christmas Day 2015, One World Care began delivering meals in its home city of Gainesville, Florida, to those struggling to put food on the table.

In 2022, when many of us began dealing with increases in costs for food, gas and rent – and facing possible eviction – One World Care stepped up to assist those in need right here in our backyard.

Our goal was to help parents so that their children’s daily lives weren’t interrupted, and they could continue attending classes and staying focused on their studies.

About

Our volunteers

One World Care is one of those opportunities. It’s been said that we rise by lifting others. We’ve experienced it and seen it first-hand with the work that we do…. work that wouldn’t be possible without the support of people just like you.
